The United Directors Club will be held on November 13

On November 13, Minsk will host the next meeting of the United Directors Club (UDC) - a key platform for discussing macroeconomic trends and changes in legislation.

Traditionally, the event will be attended by the heads of ministries of the economic block, representatives of the authorities and the business community. This year, the club will be part of the large-scale Marathon of Business Events, designed to set the tone for the upcoming Belarusian Entrepreneurship Week.

The United Club of Directors (UCD) is a reputable platform where CEOs of leading Belarusian companies regularly meet with government officials and experts to discuss topical issues of economic policy and trends in the business environment. Participation in the club's meetings helps entrepreneurs better navigate key legislative changes, forecast possible scenarios of economic development, and respond to new challenges in a timely manner.

Macroeconomic and monetary policy

One of the central topics of the upcoming DAC meeting will be the discussion of the main directions of macroeconomic and monetary policy for the coming year. According to Petr Ivanov, head of macroeconomic analysis of the Ministry of Economy, “in 2025, we expect a slight slowdown in GDP growth, but inflation should return to the target corridor of the National Bank due to the continuation of a balanced monetary policy.

Deputy Chairman of the National Bank, noted that the regulator plans to keep the key rate at 8-9% in the medium term: “We intend to continue to pursue a balanced monetary policy to ensure financial stability and create conditions for sustainable economic growth. CEOs of companies participating in the Q&A will be able to directly ask questions to the representatives of the National Bank and get their expert assessment.

Changes in tax legislation

Another important issue that will be discussed in detail at the meeting is the upcoming changes in tax legislation. According to Elena Smirnova, Deputy Minister for Taxes and Levies, a number of innovations are planned for 2025 aimed at simplifying administration and reducing the tax burden on business.

“We propose to increase the thresholds for transition to the simplified taxation system, expand the list of activities that can apply the 6% rate under the simplified taxation system, and introduce a new tax regime for the self-employed,” said Elena Smirnova. These and other changes, in her opinion, will contribute to the further development of entrepreneurial activity in Belarus.

Dialogue between business and government

In addition to speeches by representatives of state administration bodies, a panel discussion with the participation of the heads of the leading business associations of Belarus is planned within the framework of the UCD. According to Anna Kozlova, Executive Director of the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, “such a dialog allows us not only to bring our initiatives to the authorities, but also to better understand the logic of the decisions being made.

Chairman of the Board of the Union of Legal Entities “Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship”, expressed hope that the UCJ will help to find mutually acceptable solutions to a number of tax administration issues: “We look forward to a fruitful exchange of views and constructive work with representatives of the relevant ministries”.

The United Club of Directors has established itself as an effective platform for an open dialog between business and government. Participation in its meetings gives the heads of companies a unique opportunity to express their position directly, receive relevant first-hand information and form a business development strategy taking into account the most important economic trends.

The forthcoming meeting of the UCD on November 13 promises to be especially rich and useful for representatives of the business community of Belarus. By taking part in it, executives will gain valuable insights that will help them successfully adapt to the changing business environment and maximize the benefits of the upcoming legislative innovations.
